Breakfast - Vada - FingerMillet Sweet Corn Vada

  1. Add sweet corn to blender, make a coarse paste.
  2. To this add all other ingredients and mix well. Do not mix any water,as the corn itself contains.
  3. Make small round balls out of that mixture and flatten it using your hands.
  4. Heat oil, when it is hot put it in low flame. Deep fry those vadas till it becomes dark brown and crisp.

Sweet Corn1/4 Cup
Cumin Seeds1/2 Tsp
Green Chillies, Finely Chopped2
Coriander Leaves, Finely ChoppedFew
Ginger, Finely Chopped1 Tsp
Baking Soda1/2 Tsp
SaltTo Taste
OilTo Deep Fry

  1. Beat the curds well, and add other curd ingredients and mix well.
  2. Prepare Tempering and add this to the dahi.
  3. Add corn and swee corn together and blend to a coarsed paste. To this add vada ingredients and mix well.
  4. Grease water on the banana leaf and flatten the paste and make a round shape with the help of your fingers.
  5. Take out the round Vada and put it in the frying pan. Fry till it becomes brown. Take out the fried Vada and keep it on a plate (You can fry 3 to 4 Dahi Vadas at a time ).
  6. Make all Vadas similarly and keep them aside.
  1. You can even use a wet cloth instead of banana leaf.
