CommonMeal - Rasam - Buttermilk Mixed Veg Rasam

  1. Add "Vegetables" ingredients to a pressure cooker by adding 2 1 cup of water. Put for 3 whistles.
  2. Mix the curd and besan flour gently and without lumps or mix in a blender for about 30 seconds. In a pan add this mixture with chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
  3. Add this vegetables to the curd , stir well for 3 mins in medium flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
  4. Add "Tempering" ingredients one by one as in the list. Add tempering to the curds and mix well.
Tips :
  1. Serve with rice.

Lunch/Dinner- Dal/Sambar - Coconut Milk Rasam

Coconut Milk1 Cup
Turmeric Powder1/4 tsp

Gram Flour2 Tbsp

  1. Now heat oil in a sauce pan. Add the tempering ingredients and saute that for a min.Add in green chilli, curry leaves and mix well.
  2. Add in gram flour to the coconut milk and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps.
  3. Now add coconut milk and cook it in a medium flame. Bring this to boil in a medium flame. Add in the turmeric powder,salt and give it a good stir for 30 sec.
  4. Bring this to a boil and cook for 5 mins or till it starts bubbling.
Tips :
  1. Coconut milk is produced by steeping grated coconut in hot water then straining. Freshly sqeezed Coconut milk is the best while making this.You can even substitute it with canned ones.
  2. Add chopped coriander leaves and season it before serving.
  3. You can even add in the cooked dal to the mixture in the step 3.
