Ingredients

Method


  • Pressure cook the raw peanuts and grind them to a fine paste. Add salt and enough water to wheat flour. Knead well to a pliable dough.
  • Mix the peanut paste and red chilli powder in a bowl. Keep aside.
  • Make small balls of the dough and shape them in to a small cup.
  • Add some of the peanut mixture and fold well. Roll them into small/medium pooris.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame.
  • Fry the prepared pooris until golden brown. Remove and drain excess oil.

Recipe Tips


  • This Peanut Poori is a South Indian recipe made with the goodness of peanuts that is rich in vitamin E, manganese and protein. This lunch or dinner recipe is extremely easy to make and can be served with any side dish. Try this easy recipe to substitute conventional poorie to a healthier version of the same.
  • Best enjoyed with a little spicy potato curry (even dried potato vegetable), you can serve these peanut poori with any side dish of your choice.
