CommonMeal - Chutney - Beetroot Chutney

Beetroot Chutney

Tamarind 10g

Garlic Cloves8
Red Chillies,dry roast5

Cumin Seeds1/2 Tsp
Methi Seeds1 Tsp
Mustered seeds1/2 Tsp
Coriander seeds1 Tsp
Urad Dal 1 Tsp
Oil2 Tbsp

  1. Wash,peel off and cut the beetroot into small pieces. In the pan add oil. When the oil is heat add urad dal,mustered seeds, cumin seeds,coriander seeds,methi seeds one by one till they splutter.
  2. Add the beetroot pieces to the pan and mix well. Cook this for 5 mins.
  3. Now mixer this with the remaining items in the ingredients.
  4. Finally temper the chutney. Garnish with coriander.
  1. Serve this chutney with Idli,Dosa/ Utappam,Upma,Roti,Rice etc…
