Ingredients

Rice flour1/4 gm
green chilli2
powdered cumin seeds1/2 teaspoon
Refined oil1/2 cup
Wheat flour1/2 cup
buttermilk1 cup
chopped curry leaves2 teaspoon
powdered asafoetida1 pinch
salt1 teaspoon

Method


  • Mix all the ingredients except oil with sufficient water and set aside for 10 mins. The batter should not be having thick consistancy like normal dosa batter. Add sufficient water till it reaches to light gravy consistancy.
  • Heat a pan over moderate flame and pour a ladleful of batter starting from endges of the pan.
  • Add a tsp of oil on the sides and on the surface of the dosa. Turn over when the underside is done and cook the other side.
  • Serve hot with chutney and sambar.

Recipe Tips


  • Rava dosa is a very famous South Indian breakfast made using rava (semolina), wheat flour, rice flour and buttermilk.
