Ingredients

Minced lamb250 gms
Breadcrumbs1/2 cup
Onion1, small, finely chopped
Egg1, beaten
Mint leaveshandful, finely chopped
Coriander leaveshandful, finely chopped
Cinnamon powder1 tsp
Cardamom powder1 tsp
Cumin powder1 tsp
Red chilli powder1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Black pepper powder as per taste
Wooden skewersfew, soaked in cold water for 30 minutes
Olive oillittle
Optional ingredients
Ginger garlic aste1 tsp
Red chilli flakes1/4 tsp

Method


  • Combine the minced lamb and breadcrumbs in a bowl.Mix well.
  • Add the onions, mint leaves, coriander leaves, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle some salt and pepper powder. Add the egg and mix again until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Make small balls of the mixture and insert a skewer into the center.Gently press the mixture around the skewer and keep aside.
  • Heat a grill pan over medium flame.Add some olive oil and grill the prepared koftas until golden brown on all sides.

Recipe Tips


  • A quick and easy to make Middle Eastern dish that can be served with naan or biryani.
  • Remove and serve with naan/parathas and lemon wedges.
