Yogurt | 1- 1/2 Cup |
Ginger, finely chopped | 1 Tsp |
Chana dal | 1 Tsp |
Urad dal | 1 Tsp |
Cumin Seeds | 1/2 Tsp |
Mustered Seeds | 1/2 Tsp |
Dry chillis | 2 |
Coriander Leaves, chopped | 1 Tbsp |
Curry Leaves | Few |
Green Chilli, Finley Chopped | 2 Tsp |
Asafotida | Pinch |
Salt | To Taste |
Oil | 4 Tbsp |

Method
In a bowl mix rice with yogurt and salt.
In a pan put oil and add hing. Add mustered seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal one by one and fry well.
Add green chillies, red chillies, ginger and fry them . Finally switch off flame and add curry leaves.
Pour it on yogurt rice and mix well by adding coriander.
Recipe Tips
- Let the rice completely cool before you mix the tampering.
- Rice to be cooked with more water than usual.
