Method
Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds and allow it to crackle and roast for a few seconds. Now add chana dal, ground nut, broken chillies and curry leaves one by one. Roast them for a while in low heat.
Add puliyogare powder to this and mix well with salt. Add the rice to this and mix well.
Recipe Tips
- Mix the pulihora with rice in small quantities depending upon how tangy and how spicy you want the rice to be. Allow the rice to rest in this tangy for atleast 10 minutes before serving. It takes at least 10 minutes for the rice to absorb all the flavors after combining with the mixture.
