CommonMeal - Chutney - Gherkin Chutney

Gherkin Chutney

Gherkins250 g
Tamarind 1 inch
SaltTo Taste
Garlic Cloves8
Green Chillies,Sliced8
Coriander Leaves
Mint Leaves
Oil3 Tbsp

Dry Roast

Til dal2 Tbsp

  1. Wash and cut the gherkins into small pieces.Dry roast all ingredients under "Dryroast". Keep aside to get cool. After coarsely powder it.
  2. In the same pan add oil,green chillies gherkins. Fry them till the pieces becomes well roasted.
  3. Now mixer this with the remaining items in the ingredients. Add little water,dry powder mix and blend it to a fine paste.
  4. Finally temper the chutney. Garnish with coriander.
  1. Serve this chutney with Idli,Dosa/ Utappam,Upma,Roti,Rice etc…
